#GivingTuesday: The Power of Five

Five. A small number you can count to with one hand, has the power to rebuild lives. With your help we can compound the number five into a sum much greater and have the resources necessary to transform the lives of our guests.

Rebuilding a life requires more than securing a place to live. Our guests need tools and resources to get back on track.

Each day an average of 90 men and women come through our doors, many struggling with addictions, mental illness, and negative relationships. We strive to provide a place of hope, help, and healing offering a non-threatening, safe, daytime center with a home-like atmosphere. Basic necessities like shower facilities, storage of belongings, a mailing address, phone calls, and laundry service are available. 

We believe in genuine, reconstructive help, not just handouts. Guests in Case Management work to develop a personal Life Recovery Plan that addresses key areas of life and maps a direction to a brighter future. Help us continue our work.

• 5 donations of $5 provides one day of housing, case management and support services for a woman in our housing program.
• 8 donations of $5 for a pair of warm winter boots.
• 55 donations of $5 for five monthly bus passes.
• When 250 people donate $5 on #GivingTuesday we will have collectively raised $1250 in one day – a sum of money with tremendous potential to change the lives of our guests.
